About Me

Germán Ceballos

The Short Version

I'm a technologist and writer based between Buenos Aires and Uppsala. I lead growth at AwardFares, a tool that helps frequent flyers find award seats. I also run content strategy at Feisworld Media and write about technology and travel for publications like Lifehacker.

Before moving into marketing and media, I spent a decade in computer architecture research. I have a PhD from Uppsala University, where I worked on GPU memory systems and task parallelism. At Ericsson, I led the development of 5G digital twins using NVIDIA Omniverse — work that was featured in NVIDIA's GTC keynote and presented directly to Jensen Huang.

I've taken over 700 flights across six continents. I've been obsessed with airplanes and frequent flyer programs since I was a kid — my dad once earned 200,000 AAdvantage miles from an emergency landing, and that moment shaped everything.

On the creative side, I co-founded ginTONIC Records, a music production company with 200+ releases and 100 million streams. We've had productions featured on Netflix and Amazon Prime.

I was born in Ushuaia, Argentina — the southernmost city in the world.
